Let’s Bake a Cake!
You can make a cake any day of the week, not just for birthdays! Here are instructions.
First, you will need to gather the following ingredients:
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1/2 cup butter
• 2 eggs
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 cup milk
Once you have gather everything, now we can start to mix it together!
First, preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease and flour a 9x9 inch pan. Second, in a medium bowl, cream together the sugar and butter. Third, beat in the eggs, one at a time. Next, stir in the vanilla. Then, combine flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Finally, stir in the milk until batter is smooth. When you are done, pour or spoon batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven. Stick a toothpick in the middle and if it comes out clean, the cake is done!
